Facing a 5 m buoy flange plate at BMH

We faced the bolting face of a 5,040 mm buoy flange plate on the assembled structure at our workshop, and completed it to the drawing tolerances.

Our work

The bolting face was machined on the assembled structure. A portable flange facing machine, rented for this job, was set up on the structure at our workshop. The surface was checked with a dial indicator during facing.
